The IDF (Zahal) Paratrooper Brigade recently completed a training exercise for platoon through company-level commanders at the brigade’s training base at Shififon.

During the training, the commanders analyzed their fitness and competency in various modes of combat, while training for future challenges facing the brigade.

“We are preparing the officers for war, and it doesn’t matter on what front,” said Paratrooper Brigade Training Base Commander Lieutenant Colonel Guy Berger. “Our goal in the seminar is touch on a limited number of subjects, analyzing competencies and matching training for what will be the next challenge.”

The course included professional lessons given directly by battalion commanders and by Paratrooper Brigade Commander Colonel Amir Baram.

Training included live fire at day and at night and urban combat. Special attention was also given to cooperation with mortar crews and the Air Force.
