The West Bank:
Four IDF soldiers were lightly wounded this morning when a vehicle attempted to run over them during riots at the A-Ram junction north of Jerusalem. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment in hospital; one of them was released home. The soldiers opened fire towards the vehicle and wounded the terrorist who fled the scene. He was caught following a chase and was evacuated to hospital. Later on he will be investigated by the IDF. Shots were fired towards a secured buss on the Jericho bypass road, near Nahal Elisha. There were no casualties; damage was caused to the bus. An explosive charge was detonated near a Border Guard vehicle followed by gunfire. There were no casualtis; the force returned fire towards the sources of the shooting. In addition, shots were fired towards the “Ofer” base, a Border Guard force south of Tul Karem and Bazak. IDF forces returned fire towards the sources of the shooting.
The Gaza Strip:
Two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded when the APC they were travelling in slipped and fell into a ditch. The soldiers were on operational activity on the border fence about a mile north of the Kissufim crossing. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment in hospital. Grenades were thrown towards the south DCO. There were no casualties and no damage was caused. IDF soldiers returned fire. Earlier riots which included stone throwing took place in the area. There were no casualties. IDF forces responded with crowd dispersing means. Shots were fired towards the towards IDF positions in Gush Katif from the direction of Khan Yuness and towards an IDF position on the Israel Egypt border from the direction of Rafah. Therre were no casualties; IDF forces returned fire towards the sources of the shooting.
