During today disturbances and shooting incidents continued throughout the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The West Bank:

Two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded this afternoon by a Molotov cocktail thrown towards them during a riot at the Ayosh junction north of Ramallah.
The force responded with fire into the air.
The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment in hospital.

Shooting incidents occurred in the following locations:
Shots were fired towards an IDF patrol at junction 250 north of Jenin. The force did not identify the source of shooting and therefore didn’t return fire.
Fire was also opened towards the Shdema base south of Betlehem, towards a Border Guard position near tul Karem and at the Ayosh junction.
In all these events there were no Israeli casualties.
A Molotov cocktail was thrown towards an IDF jeep at the Adam junction. There were no casualties.

Stones and empty bottles were thrown towards IDF forces in the following locations; Beit Hanoun junction, El Fuar, near Elhadar close to Betlehem, El Aroub and the village of Dir Istia near Ariel.
Shots were also fired towards an IDF training base near Jenin. There were no casualties. Our forces responded with fire towards the sources of the shooting.

The Gaza Strip:

An explosive charge was detonated this morning near an IDF patrol on the Morag route, followed by gunfire towards the force from both sides of the route.
IDF soldiers returned fire towards the sources of the shooting.
There were no Israeli casualties.

Riots and stone throwing took place in the following locations:
Stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown towards an IDF position on the Israel Egypt border near Rafah and towards IDF convoys on the Karni-Netzarim route. There were no casualties.
A Molotov cocktail was thrown towards an IDF patrol in Kfar Darom. Stones were thrown towards an Israeli vehicle near Kfar Darom and towards Neveh Dkalim.
Stone throwing events took place towards the industrial area of the Erez crossing. In one event the IDF responded with crowd-dispersing means.
There were no Israeli casualties in these events.

The IDF will continue to maintain the safety of the civilians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as much as needed, despite Palestinian riots and gunfire.
