Violent disturbances by Palestinians continued today throughout the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. In some incidents shots were fired towards Israeli civilians and security forces. The IDF continues to exhibit restraint, but will accurately respond to those who attempt to harm human lives.

The West Bank:

A Border Guard policeman was very lightly wounded this afternoon by stones thrown towards him in the area of Abu Dis. The policeman was treated at the scene.
Shots were fired towards a Border Guard base near Tul Karem and towards an IDF force at the Ayosh junction. The forces returned fire towards the sources of the shooting in both incidents.
Shots were also fired towards an IDF force in Tel Ares near Nablus and towards the Jewish settlement in Hebron. In both incidents the sources of the shooting were not identified and therefore the IDF did not return fire.
Stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown towards security forces in several locations including: Kdumim, Rachel’s Tomb, Ouja near Jericho, the Alon road near Kohav HaShachar and in the area of Ariel.
In the past hour shots were fired towards an IDF force at a roadblock near Nablus, towards an IDF base at the Dotan junction and towards a settlement in the area of Jericho. IDF forces returned fire towards the sources of the shooting.

The Gaza Strip

An explosive charge was found between the Kissufim and Sufa roadblocks. The charge was detonated and there were no casualties.
Palestinian policemen armed their weapons towards an IDF force on the Karni-Netzarim road.
Stones and Molotov cocktails were thrown towards IDF forces on the Karni-Netzarim road, in KfAR Darom, towardsIDF positions at the Netzarim junction and the Israel-Egypt border near Rafah, towards an IDF force moving along the border fence and towards the industrial areas in Erez and Neveh Dkalim. In some of these incidents the IDF responded with crowd-dispersing means.
