Palestinians Elements are continuing, via the Tanzim gangs, who are illegally armed and in complete violation of the agreements, their violent attacks and terrorizing attempts against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.

An Israeli civilian was lightly wounded today by shot fired at a civilian bus on the tunnel road, south of Jerusalem. The civilian was evacuated for medical treatment at hospital.

Shots were fired this afternoon toward the settlement of Beitar Elit, east of Bethlehem, and two petrol bombs were also thrown at the settlement. In addition, shots were fired at Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus. In Hebron an explosive charge was thrown toward the security forces.

At several other focal points , among them Rachel’s Tomb, the Jenin bypass road, Hebron, the Ayosh junction and Joseph’s Tomb, petrol bombs and stones were thrown at the security forces and Israeli civilians. In all incidents there were no casualties and no damage was caused.

The IDF spokesman stresses that despite all the understandings and agreements, Palestinians officials have not given any order to stop the violence.

The IDF commends the determined resilience of the Jewish settlement and their cooperation with the security forces, and will take all necessary measures in order to protect them.
