Last night saw an escalation in the severity of the events in the West Bank. Shootings were reported at a number of sites: Hebron, Psagot, Ayosh junction, Himora (south of Nablus), the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion underpass, the Har Homa suburb east of Jerusalem, and shooting toward a border police patrol in Tul Karem and toward an IDF base in Mevo Dotan.

In Hebron attack helicopters were used to stop the fighting (the helicopters fired blanks for deterrence).
In all of these events there were no casualties and no damage was caused.
In addition, two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded by stones thrown at them near the village of Hawaara, south of Nablus. The two were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital.

During the night, Palestinian and Israeli disturbances occurred throughout the West Bank, in the course of which a Palestinian was shot dead by a Jewish settler near the village of Bidya, east of Kalkilia.
The IDF looks severely upon the continuation of violence and incitement on the Palestinian side, as well as Israeli citizens taking the law into their own hands.
