The IDF (Zahal) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shin Bet security service) arrested a suspect in a March shooting attack that injured an Israeli civilian, in a joint operation on Monday, May 13. The arrest of the suspect, a member of the Palestinian security forces, was announced today (Thursday, July 3).

In that attack, the attacker fired from a moving vehicle at the victim, who was standing at a bus stop near the entrance to the community of Kedumim.

The suspected attacker is Eyad Adnan Muhammad Daoud, a 30-year-old resident of Qalqilya. His two brothers, Beha Adnan Muhammad Daoud and Muhammad Adnan Muhammad Daoud, assisted him. They have also been arrested.

Eyad Daoud confessed to the ISA that he had carried out the attack, and his two brothers admitted that they had aided him – Beha assisted him both before and after the event and Muhammad assisted him afterwards.

Before his arrest by Israel’s security forces, Eyad Daoud had been arrested by Palestinian security forces. He then denied his involvement in the attack and was released.
