IDF forces operated yesterday in the city of Hebron following specific intelligence information. During the operation, a Palestinian wanted by the security forces was arrested at the Polytechnic College. The Palestinian suspect is one of those who had been barricaded in the city’s government compound a few days ago. Following this first arrest, forces arrested three Tanzim operatives wanted by the security forces. Last night, the Border-Police also arrested two Palestinians wanted by the security forces. This activity in the city of Hebron comes after the yesterday’s IDF arrest in the village of Yeta of a terrorist who was planning a suicide bombing. All detainees were transferred to security forces for further questioning. Since the beginning of this week, over 10 Palestinian suspects were arrested in Hebron, all in the framework of operation “Determined Path”. A special Border Police unit and an IDF reserve force in Kalkilya yesterday arrested two additional terror operatives who were planning a suicide attack. One more Palestinian was arrested for suspected involvement in terror activity. The IDF will continue operating against terror infrastructure in order to protect the citizens of Israel.
