Two IDF (Zahal) officers were killed and two additional officers were injured, one severely and one lightly, in a military vehicle collision that took place in central Israel earlier this morning, Wednesday (June 27). The four officers serve in the Israeli Navy.

The officers received initial medical care by a Magen David Adom (MDA) Emergency Care squad, and were evacuated to a nearby hospital for additional care. MDA Spokesperson said, “Once we arrived on the scene we began treating the passengers trapped in the commercial vehicle.  Two of them were already found dead and another was severely injured, treated on the site he was later evacuated to the hospital anesthetized and mechanically ventilated.” He added that “The fourth officer was trapped outside the vehicle; he was confused though seemed unharmed. Due to the severity of the incident we decided to evacuate him to the hospital as well.”
