In response to the firing of shells by Hizballah on Israel’s northern border, in which an Israeli youth was killed and four other civilians wounded, UNIFIL officers were invited by the IDF to the village of Shlomi to evaluate the damage to human life and property, and to emphasize that the shells fired by the Hizballah from Lebanese territory into Israeli territory, under the guise of anti-aircraft artillery, is an act of terror against Israeli civilians.

In addition, UNIFIL officials visited Israeli civilians in the hospital who were wounded in the above-mentioned Hizballah attack. It should also be noted that an official complaint was filed with the U.N. via UNIFIL officials at the end of the visit.
