On Wednesday (October 19), a Palestinian woman attempted to stab an Israeli civilian standing at a bus stop at the Gush Etzion Junction.
The initial investigation found that the terrorist, in her 20s, arrived at the junction and approached a group of civilians and soldiers waiting at the bus stop. She crossed the street towards them and pulled out a knife, while shouting “Death to the Jews” and “God is great”.
The attack was thwarted by an IDF (Zahal) soldier from the Nahshon Battalion of the Kfir Infantry Brigade. Upon seeing the terrorist, the soldier readied his weapon and moved to detain the terrorist. The terrorist was deterred by this, threw down her knife and lay on the ground. She was detained by soldiers at the scene and transferred to security forces for questioning.
No one was injured in the incident.
