Teams from the U.S. and Israel held meetings in Jerusalem on June 18, 2014 in the context of the two countries’ close and ongoing security cooperation. 

Director of the Division for Strategic Affairs at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Jeremy Issacharoff hosted the consultations, which focused on the increasing threats posed by international terrorism and included an exchange of information and views on recent developments in the region. U.S. Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the Department of State Ambassador-at-Large Tina Kaidanow, on her first visit to Israel since assuming her position, headed the U.S. interagency delegation.

Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to continuing and strengthening joint Israel-U.S. consultation and cooperation on common challenges.
