 Coordination of medical teams and medical equipment for the Jordanian Hospital in the Gaza Strip

On the 13th of June 2011, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (CoGAT) and the Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza allowed the entry of medical equipment from Israel inbound for the Jordanian hospital in Gaza and the exchange of 195 staff members of the hospital.

The convoy, which entered through Erez crossing, included 19 truckloads of medical equipment and food products for the hospital’s staff, and 5 buses transporting the respective members.  Along with the convoy, the transport of one fuel tank, one refrigerated truck and prefabricated buildings, which will add 300 sqm. to the existing hospital, was also coordinated.

The Jordanian hospital was established in the Gaza Strip during Operation Cast Lead in January 2009.
