The Ministry of Health announces the destruction of meat and seafood at the Issawi butchery at no. 63 Derech hashalom, Abu Ghosh
On January 31, 2013, the inspectors from the Jerusalem health bureau conducted an inspection at the Issawi butchery at no. 63 Derech hashalom, Abu Ghosh.
The inspection found meat and seafood products of undetermined provenance, which had been packed on the premises without a licnese and without markings. The production, storage and marketing of such products this way and without the legally mandated proper conditions may be harmful to public health.

Following instructions from the veterinary surgeon of the Jerusalem health bureau, and in collaboration with the municipal sanitation superintendent, some 100 kg of meat and seafood were destroyed during the inspection.
The Ministry of Health will continue to take the necessary enforcement measures, including legal proceedings, against this food business.
