Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to call his ministers` attention to their obligation to take part in plenary sessions (in rotation) and arrive on time on Wednesdays in order to respond to parliamentary questions and urgent motions for the agenda.

”As part of the strengthening of ties between the Knesset and the [citizens of Israel], we have increased the transparency and the accessibility to our public work. The full details of the parliamentary questions and the ministers` replies – including the date of submission and the date of reply, as well as the reason for a minister`s absence, if required – are listed on the Knesset website,” Edelstein wrote in the letter to Netanyahu.

”Cooperation between the government and the Knesset Members in the plenum and the committees will allow us all to carry out this public mission we have taken upon ourselves.”
