Refreshing the Ministry of Health guidelines concerning immunization against Viral Hepatitis (Hepatitis A)
In the course of 2012, there was an outbreak of Viral Hepatitis in the Tel Aviv district. The Ministry of Health received reports on 69 cases, where in the preceding year, 2011, only 7 cases were reported. There were no reports of significant increases in other districts around the country.The Ministry of Health, Public Health, issued a refresher of the guidelines concerning immunization against Viral Hepatitis (Hepatitis A).
- Making sure to receive immunizations as a part of the immunizations routine at the Tipat Halav branches at the timings recommended by the Ministry of Health.
- Completion of immunizations up to age 17 according to the guidelines in the immunizations briefing.
- Immunization of health workers according to the guidelines of the Director General’s circular No. 28/11 of November 16, 2011.
- Immunization of groups at high risk, according to the section on immunizations against Viral Hepatitis (Hepatitis A) (updated as of March, 2008) in the immunizations briefing, including people at risk as a result of their habits: drug users, men engaging in sex with other men.
