Suspicion of the presence of Listeria bacteria in the Chocolate Roulade, product of the “Salatei Beit Halomotay” (My Dreamhouse Salads) in Ashdod A routine sampling and control activity by inspectors from the Food Service at the Ashkelon health bureau, raised suspicion of the presence of listeria monocytogenes bacteria in the Chocolate Roulade, product of the “Salatei Beit Halomotay” (My Dreamhouse Salads) in Ashdod.
The factory does not have a license to manufacture this product under its manufacturing license from the Ministry of Health.
The expiry date on the packages (300 grams) is 3/3/2013.
The factory is recalling the product from the marketing channels.
The Listeria monocytogenes bacteria may cause disease among elevated risk populations, such as persons suffering from a suppressed immune system or it may induce miscarriages among pregnant women.
The Ministry of Health warns the public against using the product.
