A few months ago, the Ministry of Health embarked on the “Honorable Rest” program, intended to achieve proper interment of tissue samples taken during autopsies at the national forensic medicine center in Abu Kabir between 2000 and 2011.

From the start of the implementation, the Ministry of Health has maintained an information center, manned by professionals, to provide families with answers to their questions and inquiries concerning the samples and the process of their interment.
Today, Tuesday, the fifth of June 2012, the actual interment process begins. Initially, the tissue interment will be carried out in a general grave according to the religion of the deceased. This process will last several weeks and at the end of it the process of interment in the individual grave of the deceased will begin. Prior to interment in the deceased’s grave, the Ministry of Health will approach the families to make the necessary arrangements.
