Tami, a disabled Knesset employee, greeted French President Francois Hollande and his partner Valerie Trierweiler with flowers upon their arrival at the Israeli parliament building on Monday. Ms. Trierweiler thanked Tami for the warm welcome and shook her hand.

Ronen Plot, the Knesset`s director-general, said he regards the employment of disabled people by the Knesset as a project of the utmost importance, adding that it serves as an example for the public sector in general.

A few months ago the Knesset won the Shalem Fund Prize for its efforts to integrate mentally challenged individuals into the workforce.
