According to the report which is in the hands of the Ministry of Health, this refers to the boiling of lead, which may expose the members of the household to the lead vapors. Exposure to lead may cause a wide variety of health problems, including damage to the development of the nervous system, cardiovascular diseases, kidney malfunctions, increased blood pressure, reduced fertility and damage to developing fetuses.
The Ministry of Health warns against any domestic use of lead, and wishes to stress the severe health hazards which this exposure involves, especially to pregnant women and to the developing fetuses. Such careless use on the part of various “advice-givers”, borders on inflicting damage, with all the resultant implications.
