The Health Council has approved the recommendations of the public committee for updating the health services basket for 2015 ​

The Health Council has approved today, 1-Jan-15, the recommendations of the public committee for updating the health services basket for 2015, and has called for a regular increase in the sum at the disposal of the Health Services Basket Committee in the coming years. 
Seventy three medicines and technologies, for some 350,000 people, at an overall cost of 324 million shekels, are included in the Committee’s final list.
During the discussion, the Council thanked the chairperson of the Health Services Basket Committee, Prof. Jonathan Halevy, the director of the Medical Technology and Infrastructure Administration, Dr. Osnat Luxenburg, and the committee members.
Prof. Halevy presented the Medicines Basket Committee’s methods and recommendations to Council members.
The final List of medicines approved by the Council will be submitted on Sunday for government approval.
