September 5: Double Infiltration Attempts from Gaza Thwarted
Two separate terror attacks were thwarted in the Gaza Strip, 12 hours apart. The first, carried out by a rocket-launching squad in the central Strip, was thwarted by an Air Force strike, while the second, executed by terrorists planting bombs on the border, was thwarted by local IDF forces.

September 8: IDF Veteran Wins Gold at Paralympic Games

September 9: House in Netivot Destroyed by Hamas Rocket Fire
Netivot, a town in south Israel, is under the constant barrage of rocket fire, and this is the result: a house in the town was destroyed when a rocket hit it directly. Luckily there were no civilians in the house at the time. See photos from the scene.

September 21: Cpl. Netanel Yahalomi Killed While Securing the Egyptian-Israeli Border
On Friday afternoon, September 21, 2012, three armed terrorists from the Gaza Strip breached the Egyptian-Israeli border, as they attempted to infiltrate Israel and conduct a terror attack against IDF soldiers and civilians. The attempt was thwarted, but Cpl. Netanel Yahalomi was killed protecting Israel and its civilians. Read the full story here.
