The Prime Minister’s Office Authority for the Advancement of the Status of Women and the Shiluv Institute, today, have – on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – issued a new survey on societal attitudes and common myths regarding violence against women in Israel.
In 2008, the Government has budgeted NIS 10 million for an inter-ministerial plan to treat victims of sexual assault.  In its framework, three new inter-disciplinary centers (in Nazareth, Jerusalem and in the south) will be established to treat such victims and three existing centers (in Haifa, Tel Aviv and Ashkelon) will be upgraded.
