The latest wave of terrorism is sweeping the streets of Israel from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. Hamas has been ever present during the rapid increase in violence over the last three weeks that has resulted in the death of six individuals.
The terrorist group Hamas has played a vital role in inciting violence against Israeli citizens, especially amongst the Palestinian population.
On October 22, a Palestinian ran over a group of people with his vehicle, killing a child and a young girl from Ecuador. On November 5, just under three weeks later, a similar incident occurred in Jerusalem, killing two Israelis who were waiting for the light rail.
Hamas not only took responsibility for the attack on November 5, but also encouraged the Palestinian population to start a “car intifada” – a violent uprising using vehicles. They have used their social media accounts to liken vehicles to the missiles launched during Operation Protective Edge and to terrorise the Israeli population. They used cartoons and images to encourage Palestinians to use their vehicles as weapons and to run over as many Israelis as possible.
This image, distributed by Hamas on the Internet, shows the vehicle used to commit the attack on November 5. Superimposed over the image is writing designating the car an M-75 missile on four wheels.
This cartoon likens the image of a car to that of a gun. The text reads “Achieve the objective – even with your car.”
The promotion of violence also takes place in the virtual realm. In a new game titled “Liberation of Palestine”, players have to “get rid of the Israeli settlements, buy weapons and to implement prisoner exchanges,” as explained in Hamas’ Falesteen newspaper.
In the game , you can purchase a number of weapons including grenade launchers, AK-47 assault rifles, and rockets. An explosive belt can also be purchased in order to perpetrate suicide attacks.
New incitement video
Just a few days ago a new music video surfaced calling on the Palestinians of Gaza, Judea and Samaria, and Jerusalem to do all in their power to fight against IDF (Zahal) forces as well as Israeli civilians.
The video is not just subtitled in Arabic, but also has subtitles in Hebrew in order to scare and create anxiety amongst the Israeli population.
The video features images from the attacks in Jerusalem and shows images of Palestinians throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at IDF (Zahal) forces.
Al Quds University celebrates attacks against Israelis
This Hamas propaganda permeates the education system of the Palestinian population. In most universities the students attend to educate themselves and enrich their minds, but at Al Quds University the students are taught to praise every attack committed against Israelis and pray to the “martyrs” who have sacrificed their lives for the Palestinian cause.
This image, published on the Shehab News Agency’s Facebook page, shows a display by the student Islamic Bloc at the Al Quds University. The display hails the recent attacks by depicting the vehicle attack on civilians with portraits of the assailants. A caricature of Yehuda Glick – an Israeli activist recently shot by an Islamic Jihad member – is also displayed on the floor.
Once again, we see Hamas using its influence to manipulate the Palestinian population and incite violent acts against Israeli civilians and soldiers alike.
