Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara yesterday evening after their meeting with US Jewish community leaders (at 19:00 Washington time), went for an approximately 1.5-hour walk in Washington DC’s National Mall and Memorial Parks area.

During their walk, they passed by historic sites such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial.  They occasionally stopped to observe the scenic Potomac River and discussed US history during their walk.  When they reached the Jefferson Memorial, the Prime Minister recited sections of the US Declaration of Independence.

Upon arriving at the Lincoln Memorial, they were greeted and photographed by passers-by.  Following their walk, the Netanyahus returned to Blair House, where the Prime Minister held consultations into the night ahead of his speeches to AIPAC and the US Congress.
