The Division of Enforcement and Inspection of the Ministry of Health warns against the purchase and use of the weight loss products sold under the brand name Slim Lean, Slim Extra-7 and Slim Xtreme / Slim Xtreme Gold.

The products are being presented to the public as natural products, sold via the internet by unauthorized merchants.
The products are not authorized by the Ministry of Health for marketing or sale, and could be harmful to the health of persons who take them.
Investigation by the Ministry of Health has revealed that the products contain the active ingredient Sibutramine, whose marketing is forbidden, and has been linked to a number of cases of death and hospitalization in the USA.
In Israel, the use of these substances has been linked in the past to a number of hospitalizations in Meir, Hadassah Mt. Scopus, Bnai Zion and Rambam hospitals, with people who had taken them reporting weakness, palpitations, anxiety, confusion and muscle pain.
The public is asked not to purchase or use the above products.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Health recommends consulting with a physician or pharmacist prior to taking products intended for weight loss.
