Jordanian artillery shells an IDF force north of Jericho. A quartet of Ouragans from ‘Tzir’a’ Squadron begins attacking targets in the vicinity, and is joined by two quartets from ‘Flying Wing’ and ‘Ha’emek’ Squadrons. Cpt. David Nevo, flying lead in the ‘Flying Wing’ quartet, bails out of his plane after taking a hit from enemy AA, or because of a technical malfunction. Due to communications problems between the planes and other confusion, the fact that he has bailed out only becomes apparent when the rest of the pilots have landed. After two weeks of negotiation, the body of Cpt. David Nevo is returned: he had been murdered by local villagers.
