The cooperation between the German and Israeli air-forces is strong, and goes many years back. Today, representatives of IAF hosted a special guest: the deputy commander of the German Air-force
IAF commander, Maj. Gen. Ido Nehushtan hosted today Germany’s air-force deputy commander, General Lange, who visited Israel in order to attend a conference on missile defence.
The close cooperation has been close as never before in recent years, since Germany has leased the Israeli “Shoval” UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). General Lange talked at length about Germany’s air force operations in Afghanistan. Later, IAF representatives extended their invitation for German air crews to come and train in Israel.
On his tour in several air-force bases, General Lange will visit the “First UAV Squadron”.
