German medical team visits unit 669 Medical delegation from Germany visited search and rescue unit 669. The visit was made as part of the German-Israeli medical forces cooperation. One of the aims of the cooperation is better understanding of medicine at the battle-field, and introduction to the training and simulation programs of the unit

The delegation included to senior officers of the German medical forces, who were introduced to the unit members, explained about the weapons used by the unit soldiers, and toured the simulator.

 Towards the end of the visit, members of the unit simulated an accident rescue scene, allowing the guests to view the unit in action.

 “This visit aims to strengthen our cooperation. The theoretical introduction to the unit followed by a practical simulation”, explains Maj. Alex, commander of evacuation activities at the unit.

“At the simulation, we demonstrated to the German guests our work methods. We handled head and chest traumas. The rescue was a success”. concludes Miri, a paramedic who participated at the simulation.
