Commander of the IAF, Major General Ido Nehoshtan, has left for a working visit at the United States. The visit reached its peak when Major General Nehoshtan received the Legion, but many professional meetings, visits and even a close look at the IAF’s future combat plane took place beforehand.
Since July 1942, the Legion of Merit has been awarded to people with outstanding contribution to the security field. “Major General Ido Nehoshtan had meritorious service as the Commander of the Israeli Air Force”, says the report. “He solidifies military ties between the United States and Israel and promoted Israel’s participation in the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program.
