IAF hits rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip In the past hour, an IAF aircraft hit rocket launchers based in the northern Gaza Strip, in response to the firing of two rockets on Ashkelon this morning. Soldiers who operate the “Iron dome” system intercepted one of the rockets, while the second rocket fell into open territory. There have been no changes in instructions by the Home Front Command.

Early this morning, two rockets were fired towards the city of Ashkelon. The “Iron Dome” system successfully intercepted one of the rockets, while the second rocket fell into open territory. Additionally, yesterday, during the day, mortars were fired towards the Eshkol Regional Council. In response to the firing of these rockets, an IAF aircraft hit two rocket launchers based in the northern Gaza Strip this morning.

A year after Operation Pillar of Defense, communities in the south and the IDF have both been feeling the tranquility and hope that the latest events do not represent a new period of fighting.

Aerial Defense soldiers are always deployed throughout the country and know how to switch from their routine to emergencies within a matter of seconds.
