six pilots complete a retraining course on the newly arrived Mosquitos, at Swinderby Airbase in England. Upon their return, the pilots form the nucleus of the first Mosquito Squadron at Hatzor, in the IAF’s southern wing, where most of the bomber and fighter/bomber squadrons are concentrated. The Mosquito Squadron is used for both instruction and operational activity, and carry out photo reconnaisance missions deep in enemy airspace.
