Between 22:30 and midnight, several F-16I jets of the “Bat” Squadron attacked four targets in the Gaza strip: two weapons-smuggling tunnels, a terror tunnel, and a weapons manufacturing site in the Central Gaza Strip.
“Three jets went on the sortie tonight”, said Captain N., Deputy Commander of the squadron. “The attack was successful, and all jets safely returned to the base”.
The two soldiers injured yesterday were part of a team who was searching for side road bombs along the Gaza Strip fence. The two were injured by a mortar rocket fired from within the strip, and were evacuated to the “Soroka” hospital in Beer-Sheva.
“The IDF remains committed to protecting the citizens of Israel and will continue to act against terror” commented the IDF spokesperson.
