Newly received French radars are stationed in Gedera

The control array, which had been the weak link in the IAF’s operational chain, is strengthened considerably by newly received French radars, that are stationed in Gedera. The early-warning radars are used in conjunction with a new French device for measurement of height, angle and distance in three dimensions, and cover larger ranges with improved accuracy. The new IAF command center, with a new display table showing the regional aerial map, is also completed during this month.
