The Ministry of Health announces the destruction of meat, poultry and fish at the “Hamotzie” restaurant, 4 Mashiach Baruchof St. (corner Agrippa St.), Jerusalem. By order of the District Veterinarian, some 500 kg of food products were destroyed, including poultry, meat and fish.
Today, 28-Dec-15, during a sanitary re-inspection of the “Hamotzie” restaurant, food products (minced beef products, poultry and fish) were found that had been thawed and re-frozen, with no labelling, no shelf life, and of unknown origin. The food was manufactured at the restaurant with no business license and with no appropriate manufacturing certification, under extremely poor sanitary conditions.   The processing, storage and marketing of sensitive food products (poultry, beef and fish) without the legally mandated proper conditions may be harmful to public health. The Ministry of Health is taking enforcement measures, including legal proceedings, against this food business.
