As part of ”Educational Radio Day”, some 20 high school and college radio stations from across the country will broadcast live from inside the parliament building on Wednesday.
During ”Educational Radio Day”, which is being held as part of the events marking the 50th anniversary of the parliament building in Jerusalem the radio stations will broadcast from a studio that has been set up in Chagall Hall. In addition, high school and college students will be able to record material for an hour-long show about the Knesset. The show will be broadcast on educational radio stations and will be submitted to a contest. The winners will receive a certificate of appreciation from Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein.
The following high schools and college radio stations are taking part in the day`s events:
High schools: Kol Hashfela, Kol Yavne, Kol Rishonim (Rishon Letzion), Be`er Tuvia, Radio Amal `A (Petah Tikva), The Upper Galilee, Ramle, Radio Omer, Kol Dimona and Kol Ashkelon.
Colleges: Kol Netanya, Kol HaCampus, the Academic College of Emek Yezreel, The Interdisciplinary Center (Herzliya), Radio Aher (Ariel), Kol M”I, Kol Hanegev, Radio Oranim (Zevulun Regional Council) and Al-Qassami (Baqa al-Gharbiyye).
Educational radio, an initiative of Kol Israel, the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Communications, is meant to train the next generation of journalists and radio people.
