In the framework of Animal Rights Day at the Knesset on Tuesday, special vegan dishes will be offered in the MKs` cafeteria. MK Tamar Zandberg, who initiated the event, and television presenter Miki Haimovich, will speak.
As part of National Science Day, higher education study grants will be awarded to the 13 winners of the Young Scientists and Developers competition, in accordance with the decision of the prize committee headed by Professor Hanoch Gutfreund, former president of the Hebrew University. The award will be presented to the winners by Minister of Science, Technology, and Space Ofir Akunis and MK Uri Maklev, chairman of the Science and Technology Committee.
Later, the ”Beautiful Israel in Green” photo exhibit will be launched in Chagall Hall. The exhibit, initiated and produced by the Council for A Beautiful Israel, features 47 large-format nature photographs which were taken by six photographers. The event will be held in the presence of Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein, Minister of Environmental Protection Avi Gabbay and the chairman of the Council for A Beautiful Israel, former MK Avraham Katz-Oz.
