The Security Cabinet unanimously approved a multi-year working plan for the IDF for 2016-2020. The plan will enable the IDF to equip itself with advanced weapons systems and become both stronger and more streamlined.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot on the plan.

The Security Cabinet also received an update from the Chief-of-Staff on the security coordination talks with the Palestinian security services.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yaalon and IDF Chief-of-Staff Eisenkot made it clear that the IDF maintains – and will maintain – the possibility of entering Area A, and anywhere necessary, according to operational needs, and that there is no other agreement with the Palestinians.
