Brigadier General Yair Golan was appointed today to the Chief home front command and promoted to the rank of major general.
Yair gaulan replaced Yitzhak champion role (Jerry) Gershon that he was on the job for three years and will retire from the Israeli air force after 32 years of service. The ceremony was held at the Rabin camp “(the campus) in Tel Aviv, attended by Defense Minister – Mr. Ehud Barak, Deputy Minister
Security – Mr. Matan Vilnai, IDF officers and champions the HFC.
The Minister of Defense, Mr. Ehud Barak, wished to Gershon success with the IDF withdrawal and said that “the Golan champion years will target the Israeli home front and challenge to the establishment of

Chief, General Gabi Ashkenazi told the Golan champion success upon entering the challenging role, Maj. Gen. Gershon thanked on behalf of the General Forum on 32 years service in the IDF and said

Operation Litani, the Lebanon war to the second Lebanon war. “
It also added that the war “did a good job and after the war became widespread job producing and applying the lessons were all cuts and disciplines and so appreciated.
Maj. Gen. Gershon admitted to Army Chief-of-staff and the forum for joint work resulted in “achievements in the past three years, faced many challenges, privilege fell to serve in the Israel Defense Forces.
