In a joint operations carried out by the Department for enforcement and supervision of the Ministry of Health and the Israel Police, counterfeit alcoholic beverages  were seized in several kiosks in Rishon Letzion and Tel Aviv.

The alcoholic beverages were sold under the names of VODKA  STOPKA  , BRANDY K.B. and  HYAJKA BRAND
1. Alcoholic beverage  VODKA STOPKA in a 100 ml plastic glass, containing 40% alcohol  (100 ml, alc. 40%) – laboratory tests that were performed on the beverage discovered very high methanol levels, 27 times greater than the Israeli standard (Israeli standard 1572). In addition,  this drink was also found to contains brucine.

Alcoholic beverage  BRANDY K.B. in a 200 ml bottle, containing 40% alcohol  – laboratory tests that were performed on the beverage discovered very high methanol levels, 28 times greater than the Israeli standard (Israeli standard 1572). In In addition,  this drink was also found to contains brucine.

3. Alcoholic beverage   HYAJKA BRAND labeled in English only – Hyjaka brand of the best taste 40% Alc. Vol – laboratory tests that were performed on the beverage discovered very high methanol levels, 24 times greater than the Israeli standard (Israeli standard 1572).

  High doses of menthol may cause side effects, such as dizziness, weakness, confusion, headaches, vomiting, abdominal cramps and seizures. Drinking menthol may cause blindness and even death.
Exposure to brucine can cause a number of physical injuries, including nausea, vomiting, convulsions, muscle aches, fever and kidney failure.
Brucine is a substance resembling strychnine poison, and exposure to Brucine, including by drinking, can cause a number of physical injuries, including nausea, vomiting, convulsions, muscle aches, fever and kidney failure.  
The Ministry of Health warns against consuming these drinks.
