Israeli President Shimon Peres and Chief-of-staff Lieutenant General Benny Gantz, visited today (Tuesday) on the exercise of the Golani Brigade and spoke with the soldiers to mark the new year starting this week.
The President said that the Warriors ‘ new year’s Eve thousands of mothers, fathers and children sat at a table and holiday thank you so much for your contribution to the security of Israel. You are the hope of peace and security with Israel and its people all cherish you. Benny Gantz, Chief of general staff, spoke with the Warriors on the security challenges on the IDF’s agenda and said that “new year’s Eve in the Israel foreign challenges are growing pains each project: in the North, South and in Judea and Samaria and we are facing important constraints and challenges that require a professional treatment.
“What makes you chose to serve in the army, took out a duty which is the right to protect the State of Israel,” added the Chief words, “there is no doubt that the Golani Brigade fought and was always most difficult task faced with determination, professionalism and devotion.
We are convinced that you will be good and professional soldiers.
The President wished the IDF fighters, quiet and happy new year.
