The Ministry of Health is in the process of checking a suspicion that patients who underwent a CT scan in Misgav Ladach Hospital and were injected with contrast material on March 17, 2016, 7 Adar B, 5766, have been infected with the Hepatitis C virus

The Public Health Bureau in Jerusalem received reports from hospitals in Jerusalem about 5 patients with a clinical and lab presentation of Acute Hepatitis C.
The suspicion is being checked that patients who were injected with contrast material on March 17, 2016, 7 Adar B, 5766, have been infected with the Hepatitis C virus. The Ministry of Health has launched an epidemiological inquiry.
The hospital has closed down the CT Department and patients are being referred to other imaging departments in the city. 
Misgav Ladach Hospital has, on its own initiative, contacted the relevant examinees that had undergone the CT scan.
