In condolence letter to his Turkish counterpart, Speaker Edelstein expresses Knesset`s ”shock and outrage” over the ”vile” terror attack at Ataturk airport”

Following Tuesday`s deadly terror attack at Istanbul`s Ataturk Airport, Knesset Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein sent a condolence letter to his Turkish counterpart Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

The letter reads as follows:

”On behalf of myself and all the Knesset members I would like to express our deep shock and outrage over the vile terror attack at the Ataturk airport yesterday, where so many innocent civilians were murdered and many others wounded by savage terrorists who sanctify death over life.

Unfortunately, as many other countries , Turkey has fallen victim to murderous terror attacks by extremists who, in the name of God, wish to disrupt normal civic life, inseminating fear and terror to promote their deadly goals.

At this dire hour for Turkey we wish to express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Please convey this message of support and sympathy to the Parliament and to the Turkish people.”
