July 31, 2016, Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot landed in the United States of America for an official visit. Lt. Gen. Eizenkot is accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Hannah Eizenkot, the Defense Attache, Maj. Gen. Yaacob Ayish, and the Head of International Military Cooperation Brig. Gen. Erez Meziel.

During his stay, Lt. Gen. Eizenkot, along with members of his staff, is conducting a series of meetings with other senior military officials in Utah, Florida, and Washington D.C. They are discussing current security challenges, security assessments in the Middle East, and military cooperation.

The Chief of the General Staff is also visiting several military sites such as the F35 squadron, the Special Forces’ base in Florida, and the Tomb of the Unknowns, wear Lt. Gen. Eizenkot will be laying a wreath in respect and honor of American service members who have died without their remains being identified. Lt. Gen. Eizenkot is also expected to visit the Pentagon, where he will be welcomed with the honor guard at the Pentagon.
