A Zika patient who has been infected with the virus while was in Mexico and Cuba, has been diagnosed recently in Israel. The patient was exposed to the virus more than a month ago and no viral RNA was detected in her samples. The patient, who lives in Holon, received specific instructions regarding the conduct of the virus and her condition is good.
The Holon Municipality today carried out the pest control operations, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
The Ministry monitors the implementation of the monitoring, public information and repeated actions that the municipality must carry out.
It should be noted that up until now, some 20 people infected abroad with the Zika virus have arrived in Israel. All patients have recovered and so far no local transmission of the virus has been detected in Israel.
