MoEP Examining Bird Mortality in Ramat Hasharon
The Ministry of Environmental Protection (MoEP) and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority are examining the use of pesticides, following the deaths of some 200 birds in an agricultural field in Ramat Hasharon. The birds were found in the field, where pesticides has previously been used, on July 2, 2017.

​Inspectors from the MoEP and its Green Police have collected evidence and samples. They will decide on next steps in accordance with their findings. It’s possible an investigation will be launched.

The Ministry considers events of this nature to be severe. It calls on the public to be alert and to contact the MoEP’s Emergency Environmental Center if they see something similar, at: *6911.

It should be noted that there is no concern for public health.
